The Vampire Diaries is taking the next two weeks off, but when it returns on December 2, it's coming back with a vengeance. The gang in Mystic Falls isn't about to just sit back and let Klaus come after them. They're fighting back. Stefan and Damon want to despell the moonstone to make Klaus' sacrificial plan pointless. To be honest, I don't know how that will work, since Klaus killed Katherine's entire family after she became a vampire, so he'll still punish them even if the curse can't be broken.
Still, breaking the curse involves Bonnie amping up her witch powers and Jeremy playing a dangerous game by going to the tomb to get the moonstone from Katherine.
